Terms & Conditions of Rental Agreement
Welcome to Rentique! By booking or picking up an outfit from us, you agree to comply with the following rental terms and conditions designed to keep luxury fashion accessible and well-maintained for everyone.
1. Rental Duration & Extension
Standard Rental Period: All rentals are booked for a standard duration of 3 days (inclusive of pickup and return dates) unless agreed otherwise in writing.
Late Return Penalties: Late returns disrupt schedules for other clients. A late fee of ₹1,000 per day (or 25% of the total rental fee per day, whichever is higher) will be levied for delayed returns until the outfit is safely handed back.
Extension Requests: If you wish to extend your rental period, you must request approval at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled return date. Extensions are subject to outfit availability and additional daily rental charges.
2. Payment, Security Deposit & ID Verification
Full Payment: 100% of the rental fee must be cleared at the time of booking confirmation.
Security Deposit: A refundable security deposit is required at the time of pickup or dispatch. The deposit amount varies based on the total value of the outfit.
Deposit Refund: Deposits will be refunded in full via the original payment mode or bank transfer within 24 to 48 hours after the outfit is returned and passes quality inspection.
ID Verification: Clients must provide a valid government-issued ID (Aadhaar Card, Passport, or Driving License) prior to or at the time of pickup.
3. Care, Alterations & Cleaning
No External Alterations: You are strictly prohibited from cutting, stitching, pinning, or making DIY alterations to any garment. Custom fittings are handled exclusively by Rentique’s in-house master tailors.
Do NOT Dry Clean or Wash: Please do not attempt to wash, spot-clean, or dry-clean the outfit yourself. Professional dry cleaning and sanitization are included in your rental fee and handled by Rentique upon return.
Usage & Care: Outfits must be handled with care. Avoid spraying perfumes, hairsprays, or body mists directly onto delicate fabrics, heavy embroidery, or jewelry.
4. Damage, Stains & Loss Policy
Minor Wear & Tear: Normal, minor wear (such as a loose thread or tiny inner hem crease) is expected and will not incur charges.
Major Damages & Stains: Permanent stains (wine, food, oil, makeup), fabric tears, burns, or missing embellishments/beads will incur repair charges deducted directly from your security deposit.
Irreparable Damage / Loss: If an outfit is returned irreparably damaged, ruined, or lost, the client will be charged the full retail replacement value of the garment.
5. Cancellations & Refunds
Cancellation 7+ Days Prior to Event: 100% store credit or 80% monetary refund.
Cancellation Within 3 - 6 Days of Event: 50% store credit issued; no monetary refund.
Cancellation Within 48 Hours of Event / Pickup: Non-refundable; full rental charges apply.
Security Deposit Refund on Cancellation: Always refunded in full if the rental order is canceled before pickup.
6. Pickup & Delivery
Quality Check at Pickup: Clients are encouraged to inspect the outfit thoroughly during pickup or upon delivery. Any pre-existing defects must be reported to our team immediately with photos/videos.
Return Condition: Outfits must be returned in the original Rentique garment bag and hanger provided during pickup.
